Fun with Grandma and Grandpa

For the past 3 days, I have been at my parent's house in Saginaw with John-John. Daddy had to work and the grandparents needed their fix. Our first day we went to the Saginaw Zoo. It may not be a zoo that wins any awards but they have a train and that was all that mattered to John-John. The conductor was even kind enough to let John-John blow the whistle and sit on the engine. Big stuff to a two year old. He was completely mesmerized the entire time. Did I mention we rode the train 3 times? Of course we also saw lots of animals and rode the carousel. At one point, John-John was more interested in throwing rocks than seeing man-eating alligators. What's with this kid?

Ridin' the train with Grandma and Grandpa

I will let you guess who is having more fun.

OK...so not really a man-eater.

On the second day, Grandpa finally won John-John over hook, line, and sinker. One word...TRACTORS. First it started with a ride on the lawn-mower. John Deere of course. Then it was off to Bader Brothers Farm Store to buy John-John a toy tractor and hay wagon. Of course, John-John had to check out the real tractors/lawnmowers. And then the big moment... a ride on a bonefide, true green, John Deere Model B. At first, John was a little intimidated by its size and sound. But once they got going, and he got to steer and shift, it was love from then on. I of course, got the pleasure of running through the soy bean field to record this special moment. Ah, the good ole' days. The next morning, first thing out of the mouth of babes, "Oh Hi Grandpa! Go ride tractors?" Grandpa just grinned from ear to ear.

"What does this button do?"

"So what's the cost out the door? Does it come with a free gas card?"

A gift from Grandpa.

"Time to see for myself what this thing can really do. Will someone get the door?"

Video of John-John riding the tractor. It is a 52M file so it will take a while to load. Well worth the wait:)
