Ugh! Too Much Going On.

I love to read people's blogs. I guess it satisfies the Gladys (the nosey neighbor from Bewitched) in me However, it also makes me feel guilty when I don't update my blog every few days.
Life is just plain busy right now. I had my 30 week doctor's appointment last week. Baby was very mellow. Heart BPM was only 136. I am glad one of us can relax. Next week we go in for our last ultrasound. This one will tell us if I will have a c-section or not. If this baby is early like John-John then I only 5 weeks to go. Oh my! In church yesterday, I was actually able to feel a foot up by the left ribcage. When I pushed down, the baby pushed back. As I am typing this, the baby is playing soccer. This is may absolute favorite part of being pregnant. Starting next week, I am not allowed to travel more than a hour from home. Statistics show that labor and delivery takes about half the time as the first pregnancy. If that holds true, then I will have only 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. The hospital is 45 minutes away so you do the math.
Speaking of traveling...tomorrow I am off to Boyne City to present to a group of science teachers on Assessment FOR Learning. This is one of 3 presentations I have to give in the next 1 1/2 weeks. As long as the copy machine keeps working, all will be good.
This week I hired someone to clean my house. I feel guilty since my mother-in-law raised 4 kids by herself and worked full time and she didn't have some one clean her house. However, my sanity greatly appreciates it.
On Saturday evening, John, John-John and I went to GR to get supplies to make our annual Halloween ghost suckers. John started this tradition our first year in the house and we have been doing it ever since. We make 200 ghosts with eyes and all. John runs a great sweatshop! We also went to Yesterdog for dinner. Best hotdogs around. The best part is the booth seats held together with ducttape.
Hope everyone one is well.

Leaves, Popcorn, Bread, and Bowling

LEAVES
It was a glorious weekend with little man. John took a Educational Technology class Friday night and all day Saturday, so it was just me and John-John. We spent a lot of time playing in the leaves. Yesterday, we also went into Portland to explore the 3 bridges within a one mile radius. A very big deal to a 2 1/2 year old.

TOO CUTE!

Say, "Cheese!"

More leaves?

POPCORN

"Dad brought home popcorn from the concession stand at school."

BREAD

At first we thought it was just a one time thing, but John-John will only eat the crust off of bread. Who is this kid?

"More crust please."

BOWLING

Friday night John-John spent some time bowling with milk bottles and a cow ball while momma scored an all time high on Wii bowling. What a stellar evening.

And The Winner Is...

With a little help from family and friends, it appears that Joshua Donald will be the name of our little boy (if that is what we have). I am quite firm on Olivia Grace if its a girl, although I caught John trying to sell that name to our friends who are having a girl the week before we are due. I guess I could be persuaded towards something else, but its gonna be tough.
On another note, I had the chance to meet with several of my girlfriends tonight for a long overdue book discussion. We use to meet once a month on Tuesdays for over 2 years, but as our families and lives grew busier, attendance grew smaller. This month we read The Shack. A very powerful book especially if you are looking into why bad things happen. I love that God is portrayed as a black woman. I can honestly say I was moved deeply by this book and it has changed the way I pray. I am normally the type of person who reads for the moment and don't often remember details of what I have read. This book has left its mark!
While mommy is away, the boys will...

28 Weeks and Counting

Today was another routine OB appointment and all was well. 148 bpm, measuring 28 weeks, and I passed my glucose test. Wahoo! I was very nervous about getting weighed this time, but it was only 4 lbs. That is 8 total. Not bad. My sister went with me so she could hear the heartbeat. She was like "Wow that's fast!" I wasn't sure if she was talking about the appointment or the heartbeat. I now go back every two weeks and I will have an ultrsound in 4 weeks to check on the position of the fibroid tumor. That will determine the type of delivery I have. If this baby comes as early as JJ, I only have 8 weeks to go. Holy Wah!
On another note, my sister had her first bridal shower yesterday. What a hoot. Her "to be" sister-in-law did a modified Dating Game were she asked Carrie a series of 20 questions and Carrie had to answer what she thought Jim w9uld say. Stephanie had video taped Jim answering the same 20 questions. Carrie got 13/20. Some of Jim's answers were hiliarous. One question, "Who wears the pants in the relationship?" Without even thinking, both Carrie and Jim responded, "Carrie!!!!!" Too funny.

Dahdee Time

Yesterday, John and John-John spent the day together since Di was sick. First it was off to see John's father's grave site. That may seem like a morbid way to spend a day together, but it is important that John-John know how much his grandpa was loved. On Grandpa's headstone is a man fishing in a boat. John-John said "Daddy's daddy fishing in boat?" John sent me the picture below while I was at work. I scolded him for not warning me that I would need kleenex when opening the pic.

Tonight, they made a trip to Meijer. John-John is on a popcorn kick again. Daddy made sure to indulge him. And I am said to be the softy. Ha!

No Longer a Hairy Situation

OK, this may not seem like a big deal to most, but today was monumentus in the Milewski household. John_John didn't cry during a haircut. In the past, I would have rather given birth 10x over rather than take John-John to get a haircut. He would scream bloody murder and we would both walk away covered in hair and sweat. Today, he sat by himself, licked his sucker and didn't cry once. AMAZING! I am so proud of my big boy! Thanks Niki!

It's a Girl...maybe!

So I had my first real baby dream last night and it was a girl. She weighed 5 lbs 8 oz and was 18 inches longs. She was born December 8, 2008. Who knew dreams could have that much detail. I was even calling her by her name that we already have picked out. I am anxious to see if any of this dream comes true. I always thought I would have two boys. I guess we'll know soon enough! Think Pink!
