OK, now that I have that off my chest...
James is now 5 months old and we are entering one of my favorite stages. Although, he is still a more serious baby that his older brother, he is bright and inquisitive. He just loves to be able to sit in is Bumbo so he can look around. Soon he will be sitting up on his own. He is consistently rolling over from his tummy to his back now which is fun for him, but difficult at bed time. You see James is a tummy sleeper so when he rolls onto his back at nap and bed time he can't roll back onto his tummy. He is adapting and learning to sleep on his side.
Another thing we have learned is that he loves to be naked. No matter how fussy he is he loves to lay on his changing table during diaper time or splash in his bathtub. I just love the cute rolls on his legs.
Mother's Day weekend was huge at our house. On Saturday night, we went to Rose's restaurant on Reed's Lake to celebrate my mom's retirement, her birthday, and my Grandma Meinecke's birthday. It was a wonderful evening with great food and lots of laughter.
On Mother's Day we celebrated James' baptism and John-John's third birthday (a little late I know). It was wonderful to be surrounded by family and friends. My brother Brian, sister Carrie, and friends Ted and Kim are James Godparents. God has richly blessed us. It was also a chance for John-John to share his new swingset. It was a big hit.
